the one with aid notification

Today I found out how much aid I got... not much, $500 Merit scholarship. I was hoping/ expecting to get work study, and that would have been 2,000 off tuition. So this is a little dis-heartening. I am thankful for what I got though, there are many who did not get any. This will cut into my in port excursions. I will be needing to make some changes to my wish list.

On the bright side, Greek IV at the UO is slowly coming together. I am very excited for the opportunity to help lead small group. God has blessed me with leadership skills and I plan to use them! I met with Bethanee today in Salem where we talked about what the vision for GIV is and how we want it to look this coming term and in the future.

Also on a good note are preparations for NAM are coming along great. I am preparing my personal introduction and practicing interviews. I am so excited for the opportunity to possibly be Miss Oregon. It is something I have been dreaming of for 5 years, and I really want it to happen. I feel like I could be a positive role model for girls, and make a big difference in the community.

A verse I found this week that applied to my life right now:

No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so you may be able to endure it
1 Corinthians 10:6-13

Have a great week :]
