Hello From Mid- Atlantic,
Today we all had to sit in mandatory meetings all day. I am not even joking, we went to our first at 9 got out at 12, and started an hour later for more meetings until now (5 o'clock). They are just about the ten thousand rules on board and off. We also watched a trailer for a movie called "haze" the lady gave a little intro by saying she was not trying to show that greek life was bad, but then the movie was about how this kid dies from alcohol during hazing. Some of the interviews on the video were people saying that fraternity's were the problem for all of college kids drunken-ness. To say the least I am not happy about this, the basic thing they were doing by showing the video was to encourage people to help their drunken friends. Which is a great cause, but they could have chosen a better way to get this point across. I am so proud to be Greek, as is Justin, and we believe strongly in no hazing. The hazing laws are so strict that the worst that can happen to you anymore (at least at UO) is be extremely sleep deprived. Whats funny about them showing this anti- greek video is that I think over half the ship is greek.
Okay thats all my ranting for one day. Other than that we have been eating decent food, and chillin in our little room. We get to purchase our alcohol cards today, so we can have a glass of wine at dinner. :] The wind is pretty bad on the decks, so we have been spending most our time inside, I plan on reading on the top deck tomorrow maybe. It is sunny out though. Also I have not got sea sick yet! But I am worried about taking off my patch in a few days, it might be keeping me together.
Tomorrow is the first day of classes, my schedule is:
8:00-9:15 Infectious Disease in Humans
9:20- 10:35 Global Studies (the class everyone has to take)

8:00 Enrichment Lecture about Spain's Culture
Loves,
