Ahh the in between days
One thing I have definitely learned about myself on this trip is that I love routine. The port days have been extremely enjoyable, and are obviously the reason I am on this voyage. But these days in between are so nice, it was almost enjoyable to get up and go to class at 8 am this morning. I knew exactly how the day would unfold. Its comforting. Yesterday was our last day in Naples, and I sadly did not get off the ship. The day in Capri officially was the stone in the camels back, only quite literally a break in my back. Yesterday I had a hard time moving around even just on the ship from my cabin to breakfast and a study spot, to my cabin, to the remaining meals of the day. I knew that the day was coming, but I suppose I was living in blissful ignorance thinking that the small amount of pain I had been dealing with would be consistent rather then knock me out at some point. Oh well, these are the cards I was dealt and I knew this trip would not be a painless one.
I am happy I stayed in yesterday though; I got caught up on much of my homework, where as most people on the ship are seriously struggling today. Tonight we have a global studies midterm, which is most likely going to be a walk in the park for me. The advantages of taking multiple classes dealing with the history of the Mediterranean this past year are fully realizing themselves. Tomorrow is the test I am worried about, Biology if Infectious Disease in Humans
boo. Science is not my forte, and will never be. Anyway I am off to attempt to enjoy the rest of my routine at sea day while laboriously studying and shifting sitting styles every ten minutes.
Hope everyone is enjoying their Oregonian summers
I am a bit jealous; everyone should eat an extra corn on the cob and crate of blueberries for me. :]
