the one where it starts to feel like school...

Hello All! Sorry for the delay in blog updates, as the title suggests school and ship life are getting busy-er and busy-er. I don't know where I left off last time, so just some major goings on the past few days: The food has officially started to get not-good. haha. It is pasta, with icky sauce, and PB&J at every meal. I have officially only had two bites of meat since we left Halifax- but don't worry mom, I am getting PLENTY of protein from peanut butter sandwiches at every meal. I can not wait to get to Spain, the other night we had a inter-port lecturer speak about Spanish food and there meal schedule goes like this:
7-10 am Breakfast (which includes churros dipped in chocolate sauce, yes, for breakfast YUMMY!)
11:30-1 SNACK!
1-230 SNACK!
2-4 Lunch!
9:30-11 Dinner

Sabre and I are planning on eating enough for 10 people on a daily basis :] I know your jealous! Classes are going well- well, were going well until my bio teacher decided that we all needed to understand microbiology to understand how the flu virus works. To say the least I am going to office hours tonight! Last night we went to a clown show- yes on the ship- the clown's charicter is "grandma" and it was great! I took lots of pictures, but forgot my video camera :[ Look him up on you tube. He regularly performes half the year for big apple circus and the other half traveling around Europe, mainly Germany. The best part was he was our figure for drawing today, and I actually think I did a good job! at first I was like failing then we did like quick figure sketches and mine were way better then the people around me. :] I have a lot of reading for my classes though, and this is the first night I don't have drawing homework, because the whole ship takes global studies and tonight there is a map quiz. Today in that class we talked about rome, and I shouldn't have even showed up- he pretty much gave a lecture the encompassed my entire term in Roman Life and Culture minus the crazy latin teacher, and all the weird stuff. Although I did learn that the Carthageans (people who Rome fought in the Punic wars) sacrificed babies. :[

Today we saw LAND! yes!!!! we are passing the Azores(sp?) Islands! It was unreal to see a faint shape in the distance why sitting at breakfast.

Tonight the bible study group is meeting for the first time, just to plan what days we will be meeting etc. I am really excited! There is one other girl who is going to lead as well, and what I am thinking we will do is split into two groups so we each have like 10 people or so.

Well I have some serious studying to do. Email me! cmcoven@semesteratsea.net

If someone could PLEASE get ahold of amber for me, I miss her dearly and cannot for the life of me remember her email :[ AMBER!!! I have so much to tell you!!! and I want to hear more about the house that I think you got! roomie love <3

XO,
Crista
