Spain!!!!
This is the end of day 2 in Spain for us, and so far we have had a great time! Yesterday I went on a city orientation with SAS, it was pretty much a 4 hour tour around Barcelona. We got to see all the highlights, the Gaudi buildings, the Hill with all the Olympic buildings, the little mini village that is a recreation of types of architecture from all around Spain. It was really fun. I then hurried back to the boat to change and go to the Flamenco show! Oh my goodness it was amazing. The dancers were incredible, and were so passionate and emotional. We got back to the boat at about 10 and went pretty much straight to bed. Most people started their nights at about this time, and stayed out until about 6 am. Not exaggerating, that was the consensus when we talked to people on the busses this afternoon. Its crazy, some people can stay out all night sleep all day and do it again and again, but I would rather see what there is to see in Barcelona and not struggle to remember what I did last night. Today Sabre and I went on a trip to Monsriatte (sp?) Its a monastery out in the countryside. It was beautifully situated on top of an interesting mountain, it was absolutely amazing :] Then we spent the afternoon wandering around the city, we toured the gothic quarter, and ended up at the Picasso Museum. We then went back to the Ship, got our computers and went to starbucks for some much needed skypeing time :] It was so good to see my mom, grandma, Justin, and Sandy. It definitely brightened my day. After that we went and had some dinner overlooking the harbor. Overall Spain has been great, and I am sure the next few days will be too, maybe even better because of the shopping we are planning to do :]
Loves,
Cris
